🏗️ Patio3D: Combi Covers, Done Properly!

Hi Reader,

Patio3D now supports combi covers!

That includes:

  • Lattice + solid non-insulated
  • Lattice + solid insulated

How it works

  • Patio3D always uses a shared header.

Otherwise, it would just be two separate covers next to each other.

Patio3D finds the most cost-effective shared header that supports both roofs.
  • Patio3D makes the front look like one clean cover.

The solid fascia can be smooth or show decorative rafter tails.

When tails are selected, Patio3D matches their spacing to the lattice rafters, so everything lines up across the front.

And because decorative tails make the solid side extend farther, Patio3D automatically extends the lattice rafters to match. It only does this when the engineering allows it and the rafter overhang stays within the 25% clear-span limit.

That means Patio3D does the hard part automatically: it finds the most cost-effective shared header that supports both roofs at the same time, then lines up the front so the combi cover looks clean.

Combi covers are already live for everyone using Patio3D!

More is coming soon! I’ll keep you posted.
